Red Mech Concept sketch
I started this piece about 4 months ago and abandoned it at this stage. I was liking the diagonal shapes of the mech, but it didn't seem to fit in the environment. So this piece evolved into what can be seen here. As you can see, the design of the red mech changed completely. Other smaller mechs were added into the refined piece as well.

Environment thumbnails
These are thumbnail sketches for environments for my illustrative drawing class. With these environments, I focused on a mostly green/red orange split complementary color scheme to achieve a sense of warmth. So far, the three thumbnails to the right have been taken to a more finished level, so stay tuned for those.

Sunrise (1hr)
Wow, it's been a while since I updated my blog, so to the very few people who actually visit this blog, I'm sorry. It will never happen again. Ok, it might happen again, but who cares?
This piece was actually a class assignment. In my illustration class, we were asked to create an environment using repeating shapes inspired by nature. So I was inspired by a conical shell to create this environment in which the repeated cones are quite apparent. I started this in class, and after one hour, we were asked to show the class what we had at the moment. this is what I had at that moment.
Right off the batt, I could fully envision what the more finished version will look like. All the information is already there. All I had to do at that point was to render it to death. and I somewhat did that. The more finished version can be found here
